Ingredients

  • 1 box of jumbo pasta shells cooked according to box directions
  • 4 leftover burgers chopped into tiny pieces
  • 2 teaspoons of basil
  • 1 teaspoon of oregano
  • 1 cup wink, wink of mozzerella cheese
  • 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • EITHER homemade spaghetti sauce
  • 2 cans of tomato sauce
  • 1 small can of tomato pasta
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 2 tsp basil
  • 2 tsp parsley
  • OR
  • 1 jar of spaghetti sauce.
  • Your call on that one.

Instructions

  • I would say brown your meat, but you don't have to! HA!
  • Cut/Break the burgers into tiny pieces. Throw it into a big bowl.
  • Add the spices and the cheese.
  • Scoop the mixture into the the cooked jumbo pasta shells. Place the shells in a sauce filled pan.
  • I am a little weird about this - I like my sauce UNDER my shell. I really don't want the sauce in the shell. I can't really explain why, but I think it tastes better this way.
  • Once the pan is filled with meat filled shells, sprinkle some more cheese on top, just to make sure.
  • Then bake it at 350 for about 25 minutes, or until it's bubbly.
  • If this makes more than you want, these meat filled shells are easy to freeze.
