Smoked Meatballs with Spaghetti

Smoking the meatballs really changes the taste of the spaghetti!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 chopped onion
  • 3 garlic cloves crushed
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pound of spaghetti noodles cooked.
  • Sauce:
  • 32 ounce can of crushed tomatoes
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • 2 tbn fresh parsley
  • 1 tbn fresh basil
  • 1 tbn sugar
  • 1 tbn worchestershire sauce

Instructions
 

  • For the meatballs:
  • Mix the meat and ingredients together in a big bowl. Roll into 1 inch diameter meatballs.
  • Smoke at 250 for 30 - 45 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the meatballs are 180.
  • For the sauce:
  • Combine all ingredients. I made this on the stove - the smoke flavor from the meatball DEFINITELY transferred to the sauce.
  • Serve over noodles.
