Cornbread on the Grill

A deliciously simple way to make cornbread, especially if you are trying to conserve oven space!

Equipment

  • 10 inch cast iron skillet

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of milk or, gulp, buttermilk if you so dare
  • 1/2 tsn baking soda
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tsn salt

Instructions
 

  • Mix ingredients together in a bowl.
  • Pour into a large cast iron skillet.
  • Place the skillet on the grill when the fire is at approximately 350. Bake for 30ish minutes, or edges brown.
  • Cut into pieces, spread some butter and drizzle some honey on each piece, and get ready to be amazed.
