Lemon Pepper Smoked Salmon Steak

I have a confession.  Sometimes, I crave salmon over steak.  I come from a fairly carnivorous family, and I think they would be shocked to learn this.

Don’t get me wrong, I love steak.  I really do.  But salmon – it’s just so good.  If you’ve never had it, or it’s been a while since you have tried it, you REALLY should give it a chance.  It has such a creamy and buttery consistency that I feel as if I’m splurging and eating something really sinful, instead of an incredibly healthy piece of fish.

  1. Made this tonight. I ended up smoking it about 10 minutes longer because I wasn’t sure if it was done and it was still very good!
