I’m not sure if you read the title, but it says mustard, brown sugar, salmon, & smoked. All in the title. All combined.
I would assume that’s enough information for you to realize how tasty this was and want to try it. I would recommend going with your gut on this one and trying it. Very soon.
The prep time was 3 minutes and the smoke time on a plank was about 30 minutes. The result was delicious seafood happiness.

Brown Sugar Smoked Salmon with Mustard
A salon filet is coated with mustard and brown sugar then smoked on a cedar plank.
Ingredients
- Salmon filets
- 1 tbs Stone Ground Mustard for each filet you can use any mustard you prefer
- 1 tbs brown sugar for each filet
- Salt & Pepper to Taste
Instructions
- This couldn't be much simpler. Smear the mustard across the top of the salmon filet, then sprinkle the brown sugar across it as well.
- Add salt & pepper to taste.
- Smoke on a wood plank - I used cedar - for about 30 minutes, until internal temp is around 140.
